My Christmas RAPPing

Yes, it is finally my day to share my Christmas RAPPing project with you.  Nope I don't have a rap song for you(thank goodness) I am not a singer, can't carry a tune at all.  Christmas RAPPing stands for Christmas projects that are Reverse Applique or Paper Pieced. And believe me there are a bunch of beauties in this book.

Nan asked us Island Batik Ambassadors if we would be interested in participating in a blog hop of her and Margaret's new book in exchange for the .pdf of the book.  Why yes indeed I hopped on board!  After looking at all the fun projects I decided to make the Star of Light paper pieced block three times and make it into a table runner.

Since Island Batik is a sponsor and is giving away a bundle of their fabric(you just might want to get your name in the draw), more info below for that, we were asked to use Island Batiks.  No hardship there since I happen to have some and I happen to love their fabrics!

Some stippling happened in the white background and ruler work in the stars themselves.  I love how this turned out.  Thank you Nan and Margaret for letting me be part of the hop!  I wish you lots of sales as I know you worked very hard to make this book happen.

For the give away you can find the Rafflecopter HERE.

A big thank you to the sponsors Island Batik, Aurifil and June Tailor.

You can find more on this book at

And be sure to check out all the other blog participants and be prepared to be inspired!!

  1. Those star blocks are gorgeous! Love all the blues you used.

  2. Unique stars!!! And as always, love your custom quilting, Vicki!

  3. You are the table runner queen, and this is another beauty! Love the varying colors of blue, and those stars are fantastic!

  4. I agree with wendy - you are the table runner queen! It's beautiful!

  5. Wow! Those stars really sparkle! I love the unusual angles, a real benefit of paper piecing :)

  6. Very nice finish and I love the blues you have chosen.

  7. What a great block! I love those pretty blue fabrics, too. They make a great tablerunner!

  8. Absolutely stunning. I really love the colours ♥ ♥

  9. I love what you have done!

  10. This is lovely! I love Island Batik fabrics as well :-)
I had trouble leaving on comment on the link post for the Rafflecopter. Sorry for the goof but the 'box' wasn't working on that site.

  11. Wow, what a gorgeous quilt Vicki! Those batiks really do justice to this cool (ha, get it? pun not originally intended) quilt with your beautiful quilting.

  12. Good Morning! This is just a fabulous runner, Vicki! The blue are so crisp and clean, and the dark blue really enhances those lighter shades. Of course, I think the quilting is superb and really does its job of highlighting the pattern and fabrics. I love the name of this book and hop - very clever with a great group of quilters and friends promoting all of the cute designs. ~smile~ Roseanne

  13. Such a beautiful table runner! Love the colors you choose. Thanks for linking up to Wednesday Wait Loss.

  14. Those icy blue colors really say winter! While I am a bit over it right now...especially since it's MAY, I want to make one to brighten up my table next winter. Beautiful job!!!

  15. Lovely quilt and great quilting too!
