From there I decided I should quilt my July OMG. So that is all done now and will get it's own post. But to keep me honest here is a sneak peek.
Our evening chore is to pick raspberries each night. So far I think we have picked 10 cups and froze them. I will be making some raspberrry muffins soon.
We have been eating lettuce from our garden for a month now and still have lots more. The leaves are so big! I laid a peanut there so you get a size reference. We only need to pick about 10 -12 leaves each night for a nice salad.
The only goal I am setting this week is to work on the piecing of this quilt I started in mid June and it got derailed in favor of other things that had deadlines.
I hope you all have had a more productive week than I did. Let's go find out and check in at the HomeSewnByUs blog for To Do Tuesday linky party.
Not very productive over here either! Those raspberries look so good - do the skeeters leave you alone when you are picking? I went outside to take a quilt photo yesterday and was just about eaten alive in seconds. Anyway, you made more progress than me, I think!
ReplyDeleteYou still had some nice accomplishments. That lettuce is beautiful, you won't find any like that in the grocery store! I love fresh salads in the summer.
ReplyDeleteI've lost my mojo a bit as well. Not sure if it is the heat, the pandemic or something else but I better shake it. I hate feeling this way.
You have done great, plus gardening!!! I would never get all that done.
ReplyDeleteI think you worked on a little bit of everything this week, Vicki, so that's good! Your raspberries look wonderful, and I bet they are yummy, too. Looking forward to reading about your July OMG quilt!
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki! Hey you - you made it to the half-year point in lists. That's amazing!! I adore those polka dots - that will be an awesome quilt. I wish I lived nearby for some of the raspberries or even better, the muffins. Can you say yum-me?!! Thanks for linking up this week. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteSeems to me you got a lot done! I enjoy seeing all that you do! AND a garden too!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes weeks are just like that - life sends us other projects that need/want our attention. I think you got a lot done! Have fun making those raspberry muffins. I bet they'll be delicious!
ReplyDeleteSome weeks (or months) are like that for me. I’m drooling over your raspberries. We tried to grow them at our last house and it was an epic fail. (That’s what my boys would say.) We’ve been enjoying green peppers, beets, and zucchini from our garden.
ReplyDeleteWell, that seems perfectly balanced and productive to me. Your raspberries and lettuce look delicious.
