Patriotic progress

Ahh it feels so good to have a few patriotic table runners done this past week. First up is a fun delectable mountains 48" long runner using only two fabrics. I used the tutorial from Bonnie Hunter for her Scrappy Mountain Majesty.

These two are ones I designed last year so I whipped up two new ones for the shop.

In the last post several of you seem to enjoy my photo from my Arizona trip.  So here are a few more.
Oh the things you see in the middle of the desert!!  It must have been an Halloween decoration, it was huge!

These two photos were taken in the Sedona area. The most beautiful red rock formations, one could look at them all day.

What a contrast in color from red rock to brown/gray tone with trees and snow on the mountains. See that twisty winding road?  We drove that in our truck(without the camper). We went up a lot in elevation, what a view!!

Don't forget the Kitchen Stitchin' blog hop started today, my day is Friday. I hope you will come back to see what I whipped up;)

  4. Sedona is beautiful... one of my favorite places. I love your delectable mountains table runner and may have to use that idea for my annual table topper for my family. Hopefully I can find my patriotic fabrics!

  6. The runners are fabulous! The pictures ... well, you know they make me homesick! One of the things I loved doing when we were full-timing was taking pictures of odd things I found by the side of the road. I never saw that spider, though! Thanks for sharing it!

  7. Those runners are fun and good to have them done. Love that creative “ sculpture” but I’m sure I would have been a bit confused at first.

  9. Thank you for sharing your travel pics. I live vicariously through you. Paul firmly refuses to travel anywhere anytime soon :-( I may just have to go by myself.

  10. You new patriotic table runner is super. I’ve used Bonnie’s delectable mountains pattern. I think it looks far better as a table runner than my quilt!

  11. Hi Vicki! I love all of your runners but especially the delectable mountains! I have made a similar runner using a kit a picked up in Alaska, and have the fabric for one or two more. They are in the someday-soon pile, but seeing yours reminds me to bump them up the list a bit! I always enjoy seeing your pictures from Arizona - that narrow path looks scary to me! Yowza! ~smile~ Roseanne

  13. I love those patriotic runners! Why do I never think of using blocks like the Mountain Majesty for a runner. It looks wonderful.
