Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July to all my North America peeps!  My seasonal corner is red, white and blue all ready for celebrating the 4th of July.  At the top of the photo is a flag cross stitch that I did several years ago. It's mounted in a blue frame with wooden red, white and blue stars glued to the frame.  A panel quilt that I pieced is hung in the quilt hanger with a wooden star garland hung on it's pegs.  Several wooden decorations sit on my treadle sewing machine. Stuffed patriotic Raggedy Ann and Andy( which I made)  sit on top of a felt patriotic heart penny rug made by me.

This weekend we celebrated our grand daughters 1st birthday, went for a nice bike ride yesterday and we've been shopping for a new refrigerator.  I hope to get a quilt pinned on the longarm and maybe even start quilting it.  Of course there will be fireworks tonight.  What are you doing for the Fourth celebration?

  7. I love your seasonal display area! Hopefully the global supply chain snafu has resolved to where you can actually pick the refrigerator you want, versus having to buy whatever refrigerator you can get your hands on whether you like it or not! :-). Happy Independence Day!

  8. A just right wall hanging for the 4th. Yes, we will have fireworks. We live on the south slope of the mountain (well, hill actually - about 1000 ft) that is in the center of town. The city holds it's fireworks display at the top and we have front row seats. Hope you get your new fridge soon. Happy 4th!

  11. Sounds like you had a great 4th. We seem to always watch PBS's Capitol Fourth. This is the first year where I only recognized a handful of presenters and songs. I am so out of modern music. Your display is so cute. I forgot to put up my R,W,B wall hangings. Sigh. Maybe Labor Day to Veteran's Day. Have a great week.
