Recently I worked with this panel, such a fun fall one don't you think?
It quickly went from that to this!
I always have fun adding fun borders to the panels.
And that is one of my recent finishes. Here is what is on the agenda for the next project.
Care to guess what it is? It won't get finished this week but I'll have a good start for sure.
Linking with Monday parties. Are you linking up to these also?
How cute! Did you fussy cut and place those pieces? Whatever you did, I love it! I'm not good at guessing, but I like your start with that pretty fabric.
ReplyDeleteNo fussy cutting, I just took one of the printed blocks from the main panel to make this smaller wall hanging.
DeleteThe sawtooth border around the center picture really makes an impact. Very cute!
ReplyDeleteI really do love the look of this border and happy when it works out to use it.
DeleteNice job on the pumpkins and sunflowers. The panel is really too dark so I'm glad you spice it up with lighter colors. Hum, could it be? Is he coming? I'm guessing Santa is coming to your house! I have that same red fabric but it's going to be a backing for a patriotic wall hanging.
ReplyDeleteNope it's not Santa!
DeleteWait a minute... I just really looked at the picture... you are going to make a half log cabin? The cuts look like what I'm working on as leader/ender.
ReplyDeleteLog cabin blocks is correct.
DeleteWhat a fun fall quilt - I really am ready for fall - so this makes me happy!!!
ReplyDeleteNot ready for fall, just wishing for better summer temps and low humidity!
DeleteI just so wish it was pumpkin season already!!
ReplyDeleteI am not really ready for fall yet but wish the humidity would go away!
DeleteDefinitely perfect for autumn. Enjoy your new project this week.
ReplyDeleteGoing to work on that new one today again.
DeleteGreat borders, Vicki!!! Love that bias plaid!!1
ReplyDeleteI know and I didn't cut it on the bias, it was printed that way!
DeleteHi Vicki! Hmm. I don't have a guess but red and white are my favorite combo. I'm thinking something for Christmas . . . tis the season for your shop! {{Hugs}} a bunch ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteYes it is for Christmas!
DeleteI love pumpkins and sunflowers - when they're together, even better! Pretty wall-hanging, Vicki. I think you're working on some log cabin blocks!
ReplyDeletePumpkins and sunflowers are the reason I love fall so much!
DeleteExcellent pumpkins and sunflowers project! Love your borders, I have a panel that I am wanting to add some interesting borders. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThank you Judy! Pinterest is a great source for ideas!
DeleteGreat job with this panel. I always struggle with "just the right border'. Nancy.sumner@comcast.net
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy.
DeleteYou always work with the prettiest quilt panels, Vicki and then you make them even more spectacular. Hmmm as far as your next project. I am going to take a wild guess and say maybe an apple wall hanging or runner. I can not wait to see what you have up your "quilter's sleeve" . Hee! Hee!
ReplyDeleteAwww thanks bunches Melisa! Nope not anything apple!
DeleteI love your plaid border on this one. Great finish!
ReplyDeleteI was so happy to have that plaid printed on the bias in my stash! Don't remember where I got it either.
DeleteBeautiful fall hanging! You're moving on to Christmas already, eh? I'm still scrambling to get some fall things in the shop!
ReplyDeleteGoing back and forth from fall to Christmas
DeleteThat is a very cute fall runner! Are you panels running low? Do we need a shopping day? (grin)
