Strippy UFO finish and a birthday

Another UFO has crossed the finish line. This one is a spin off of something I saw on Pinterest.

I pieced this one in November and quilted and bound it this past week.  The quilting is freehand all over swirl flower design, that will keep this quilt soft for a donation quilt.

Since I used a pink fleece, that was given to me, I didn't use batting in this one and wow is it ever cuddly.  It finished at 39 x 48.

It's my birthday today so hubby brought me flowers, hmmmm they smell so good!

I'll be linking with Wednesday Wait Loss and NTT

  8. Happy Birthday! Your flowers are so pretty - good job, hubby! I really like your quilt design, too. You could make that in miniature for a table runner. Love the black with dots that inspired your other colors, too!

  11. Happy Birthday Vicki! (Belated). Those are gorgeous flowers! The quilt is sweet and I like the quilting you chose to do. Fleece or flannel does make a cuddly quilt backing, and the bonus with fleece is no batting is needed, so easier and cheaper to make. Daryl~ patchouli.moon.studio at gmail dot com
