2nd quarter FAL goals met

Setting myself some goals this year has been a good thing for finishing up projects that might have otherwise just got shoved to the back of the closet.  I joined the Finish Along over at On the Windy Side for the 2nd quarter this year. I entered 7 projects and I have now completed 4 of them and I will be able to finish up another yet, so I feel pretty good about that!  Hmmm I think I didn't blog about # 3 yet-I'll do that tomorrow or friday :-)

Here is the latest finish that will be at home in our family room.  A few years ago these solids were a reward we received after finishing a shop hop in our part of the state! If you visited all the shops and had your passport stamped you received a fat quarter bundle free :-)  So of course, in my usual style, I have to let things age a bit while deciding exactly what I should make with them LOL.  I finally decided and pieced this quilt December of 2013.

I kept the quilting simple by only using two easy to stitch designs and alternating them every other block.  The designs are from Jodi Robinson's book Modern Simplicity. I love her designs, very effective but easy to stitch and give a great impact.

I might use the new one as the fall/winter quilt for the wall and the one that is hanging up there now will be spring/summer since it is a little lighter in color.

I'll be linking up with the FAL soon as it is the end of the quarter soon!  The link on the left side bar will get you to the website where everyone will soon be showing their accomplishments!

2nd quarter Finish Along goals

This is the first time I have entered items into the FAL   I have lots of projects that need to be finished and this is the push I need to do it! I will pretend to be The little Engine that could-I think I can, I think I can, LOL
Last week I started this nine patch quick curve quilt. I used a bundle of Cotton and Steel FQ's that I won from Gotcha Covered Quilting through A lovely Year of Finishes.

A quick curve runner that needs borders and quilting.

This quilt that has been pieced for over a year that needs it's quilting.

I designed this table topper in EQ, needs quilting and binding.

Quilting needs doing on this donation quilt.

This one I finished piecing in March, it needs quilting and binding.

And last but not least a pillow top.

I do have many more projects that need doing but think I will stop there before I overwhelm myself!!
