But first I had to finish up another sunflower table runner for a customer. So yes it looks just like the one from last week for my Island Batik March project.
OK back to the yellow squares, it's a pineapple block! Using all scraps for the pineapple and the leaves.
Which turned into two blocks and then into this.
The background I quilted with a design that reminds me of the leaves on the pineapple. A meander in the pineapple itself with leaf shapes for the top.
So much fun to try something new. I was inspired by many pineapple blocks on Pinterest. But the runner design is my own.
I have it listed in my Etsy shop.

Yes! Some great sunshiny projects!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful runners! I really love the sunflower Dresden one as I love sunflowers!
ReplyDeleteThat gingham was the perfect choice. Nice to see you're having fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is very cute! I have a pineapple UFO waiting, waiting. I should finish it one of these days!
ReplyDeleteHi Vicki! I have been meaning to make a runner similar to this using my door hanging template. I just ADORE the black binding and cornerstones. And it looks so snazzy on your table - it will be snapped up in a minute, I'm guessing. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Not every fruit works as simple squares and triangles, but pineapples sure do. I'll bet it was fun to make, too :)
ReplyDeleteWhat great table runners!! but the pineapple - i love it!!
ReplyDeleteSuch cute table runners! I love the quilting in the border of that last pic :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your pineapples! They are so fun in the scrappy greens and yellows. I've made just one pineapple block and turned it into a mini quilt - it' one of my favorites!
ReplyDeleteThe pineapple table runner is just as nice as the sunflower one from last week. Your blog today is like a sunny vacation.
ReplyDeleteIt's adorable! And screams summer. Hopefully the warmer days will be here for good soon.
ReplyDeletePineapples and Sunflowers. Wow!!! Looks like you have surrounded yourself with loads of beauty.
ReplyDeleteBoth runners are wonderful! But I'm a bit smitten with the Pineapple one. I've always wanted make a pineapple block, yet surprise...surprise...I haven't!
ReplyDeleteAnother cute table runner! And of course I like gingham in anything. I'd make some runners for my table but then that would mean I would have to clear it off if I actually wanted to use the table runner.
ReplyDeleteVery cute! That black gingham fabric really sets it off. I think I need some gingham in my stash :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
Great pineapples! And the yellow candle looks lovely with them!
